Am I A Bad Keeper !
hi, at the moment i currently own a 3 year bci had her since a baby, an a male eastern indigo and a royal i had since a hatchling, but i'm looking in to a tegu as my local store has an adult red abou 3 feet in an 4x18x18 viv. i feel sorry for him but what i want to know is how do u guys feel about chopping and changing your collection i feel really guilty about selling any of my snakes but i'm interested in large lizards. i hate to think i'm letting them down but i know they don't become attached as long as they get a good home there happy but'm sure i'm not the only one whos had this dilema am i a git or someone who just wants to learn more about all different types of reptiles

I would say no your not a bad keeper you may be more interested in lizards than you are into snakes
My self I like all reptiles lizards , snakes tortiose's , etc if I had the room who knows what I would have in my collection .
as of right now I have 1.0 sulcata tortiose and new to my addtion a Leopard gecko. and planning to get more.

I don't see an issue, I am continuously selling, trading, buying reptiles. There is nothing wrong with finding a new owner for an animal you have especially if you have found a new interest. What I would consider "bad keeping" is if someone kept collecting animals "flavor of the week" syndrome...and then began neglecting the previous animals. I think you would be making a well thought out decision if you decided to go this route.

Its not an issue provided that you ensure a good home to the others. If you simply sell to high bidder without checking to ensure that they know what's they're doing it would be an issue, for me at least.

I'm with the others on this one. Doesn't seem to be an issue to me. As long as you are providing a good home for the ones that you sell, and are prepared to take in large lizards in a suitable manner.
What matters is that the animals are properly cared for whether it is you or someone else providing the care.
