Hi captrob,
Thanks for posting the pictures I bet you and your daughter had fun. The boa you have pictured does not look in very good shape. He looks very skinny in the middle of his body. Is it just a bad picture or do you think the boa is sick.

He did not look good at all. He actually had loose skin just hanging. I wanted to say something to one of the keepers, but of course none were to be found.

yeah, it almost looks like his body is slumping to the right as well... as in he's got too much skin for his actual body to fill.

We went to the zoo on Saturday too but it is really small and they are just starting to put together a reptile exhibit..It looks to have ball pythons, a boa and a blue tongue skink(indonesian from what I could see)and some tortiose of some kind,,Kinda like going to the pet store really..But I still like it ,they have healthy looking animals and thats what counts...Great pics,, I didnt take any..

The jax zoo has a really good reptile setup. It is broken up into 3 dif houses, S.American, African, and Native Florida.
