Well, been new to the herp thing (only a year and a few months) I had not had the chance to see babys coming out of their eggs yet, or a live birth for that matter.
I stoped by late today to pick some rodents and the local snake place was busy as heck. They slit open some 15 Burmese eggs that were due. I was just standing there with my mouth open. Great babies, half-in half-out of their eggs. I can't believe how BIG they are born!!!
It was just impressive. Maybe a ho-humm event for some of you, but WOW, a very exciting moment for me. They separated the eggs into two separate containers. Most of the babies had their heads poking out or part/half their body.

I don't see anything hohum about it. I still run around crazy when I catch a pair of corns breeding let alone seeing a birth/hatching. All this after having seen more than a few. If you don't get excited what are you doing it for. [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_cool.gif[/img]
