I had to put them up for Adoption.
The state wants to take my Burmeses. I can't let that happen so I put them up for adoption on here. They are in the Adoption form. This is the worst thing I ever had to do.

i think its Because there is a rule in NY that no snake over 9ft can be kept as a pet.or some thing like that. I FEEL YOURE PAIN

yea there is, but i believe it didnt count on snakes that were already in ones collection before th e law came into action. i believe he had them before that law.

I know that in most cases you have to be able to prove you acquired the animal before the law came into effect and unfortunately for many people they picked up their animal for cash at a reptile show or the like and have no receipt. Of course, this may not be the case here...

No even though I had them before the law they still want a $1000 every 2 years for permits then I can keep them. Some may be able to swing that but I can't. I am a single father of three children that live with me. I work my butt off to make there lives and my reptiles lives good but I cant swing the thousand. They keep my reptile budget pretty tight I don't have room in it for a thousand dollars if that makes me a bad person then I am truely sorry. I guess when I was rescueing these animals I didn't count on this bogus law.
And yes Anne still based on the monitor bite. If I wouldn't have been bitten then noone would even know I had my pythons.

NO-ones gonna think bad of you for this atall, you have done your best, and are being responsible! Whats happening sucks, but hopefully theres light at the end of all this cause from here your burms can find new good homes and I'm sure you'll be able to swing visitors rights lol to check on em! 
Couldnt every member off here send you $1 including me via airmail lol I'm sure theres enough that would help, so U could get permits? Maybe a dumb suggestion I dunno?

I'd paypal $20 or maybe even $50. If I were you I would move out of NY, try and find some cheaper place to live so you can keep your beauties but still have a good job... but I know you probably can't really do that. I really feel for you, crush, I really do. I'm so sorry this is happening. I'd be more than happy to accept one of your burms, but as I also have my hands full with 11 snakes and 18 turtles and then some, I couldn't. And I also have no experience handling burms, so that's another factor that keeps me from getting one anyway. I'm really sorry, crush. Good luck with everything and I hope that something works out for you.

Come on you guys...If we all send 5 bucks (or more) Crush can have a snake fund in no time and what's left can be left in the bank account to gain interest for the next 2 years to help pay for the next year etc...
