Anyone know a supplier of large or jumbo rats in the Sacramento, CA area?
Frozen or live is fine. (I will kill and freeze the live ones)
Thanks,

try posting an ad in a local classifieds (yahoo/craigslist) or contact local herp society, here I found it for you http://www.norcalherp.com/
I found a local supplier thru a post on craigslist, it is so great to have someone local. Sometimes they don't always have enough of the right size, but the savings on the shipping costs cannot be beat! If you want to order online, I used to always use www.bigcheeserodents.com

You should contact pathfinder36 on this site as well. I believe he found someone in that area to get rats really cheap. I don't know about jumbo's but it's worth a try. Otherwise he might have some other info for you anyways since he does all sorts of snake/rodent research in that area.

The guys I purchased from locally started becomming unreliable. That doesn't mean they never have what you need... just sometimes not when you need it. I'll give them a call today and see if he's still breeding\selling. If he is, I'll pass on the number to you! =)
Otherwise, I use rodentpro as well. I usually go in on an order with a few other people to save on shipping. Under normal circumstances, we have a bit of box space available. If we do on the next order, I'll shoot you a PM and see if you want in on it.
