ABC TELEVISION (NOT HERP RELATED!)

A few friends of mine are sponsoring a boycot of the ABC television network.

ABC had extended an invitation to Toby Kieth to play at the 4th of July special they were going to put on. When Peter Jennings heard one of the songs that Toby was going to play they renig'ed on the invitation. The reason given was that the song Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue was too "strong" and "offensive" to be played on TV for the general public.

If anyone has heard the song you will know that Peter Jennings is about as far off as they come! The song is about Toby's feelings as an American and serving in the military!

I will post a copy of the song on my website over the weekend.....

I agree with Juggalo. Starting a boycott over that would be worthless.

Welcome to 21st century America... Enjoy the boycottability of this great land....

Well, it is a fact of life that life isn't fair.
Boycotting won't do much at all except give them a few chuckles at the next board meeting.
Some things that may change their minds is actual snail mail letters to the president of ABC.

Use words such as highly offended, feelings hurt, not fair to all the Americans that haven't heard it and should, censorship etc, etc, etc.
Smear the ink with a few well placed tear stains, (watching Oprah while writing it may help)
and it will be sure to tug at their heart strings enough to finish the letter and possibly reconsider the decision.

In other words, go directly to the boss of the place!
