another petstore....
but this time, its a GOOD one! thats right, finally. this petstore that i get my lightbulbs from has gotten reptiles and i seen them for the first time today. they had a few different snakes including a texas rat snake, 2 ball pythons, and a snow corn snake. they also has turtles and lizards such as bearded dragons, a leo, and anoles. what impressed me? the cages were all clean! while they still need something to measure temps, it is by far the best petstore ive seen. the balls were so active! and healthy!
just thought i share, finally a good note.

I know what you mean.
I am not going to go off into a huge rant. I want to every time I go to some of these pet stores. I mean how bad can it get in some of these. When it comes to there handle, care, and cleanliness. My one other "pet" peeve is that the employees have no idea what they are selling when it comes to the reptile and amphibians. Or They are scared to handle them. Though I am jealous that you found a good one I hope its a catching trend for all pet stores.

Here in the Uk we have more than our fair share of Bad reptile stores. I know of a couple of good ones luckily, I'm sure there are alot more good ones but people tend not to name them as much. You tend to hear only bad stuff about the bad ones. Its great you found a good one.

the one by me is horrible!! i was there a few weeks ago just to see what they had, there was a burm in the same tank as a bci and a ball python! and the worst thing was i saw some young kid (about 11 or 12) and his dad walk out with a young retic!! i asked the person that sold it to them why they would do such a thing, and they said that they thought it was only going to get about the same size as a bci!!! i guess having knowledge about what your selling doesnt matter much around here.

my local petshop is bad, its one of those petshops that hire young kids that really dont care, but the one that is owned by these two guys is really really good. The only reptiles they have in the front of the store are all eating f/t and have ate 3 times, the ones that havent are in the back. BTW what does BRB mean?

I hate the petstores that will not hire someone due to them being a dropout, when yet they know more about animals in general than almost anyone in the store, heh so much for "best man for the job."
