I made a posting yesterday about being a new owner and some wonderful person promised that it is addictive..... well they were right!!

My wife whom swore she would not have anything to do with Dillon the Columbian Red Tail Boa baby when I walked in the door with him actually wants her own snake!!!!
Click on this link to go to my website and see some pics of Dillon.
Dillon the snake

We looked several places locally but could not find anything that fits exactly what she wants so I am turning to all of you experts out there.
We looked at some Royal Pythons which she did not like. The corns, rats, milk, and kings were perfect for coloring but were either to active or too aggresive for her. She loved the coloring on a Snow Corn at one of the places she looked.
I was thinking something along the lines of a Children's Python or something like that..... but maybe someone out there will have some better recommendations.
Here is her criteria......
Docile (She does not want anything that is overly active or very fast)
Reasonably sized (No more that 5' full grown)
Bright or attractive pattern

Thank you in advance!

Hmmm... Either a ball python or a Hoggs Island boa.
Although the hoggs gets a tad longer than that.
Or a sand boa, which gets about 2 or 3 feet, I think.
A rosey boa doesn't get too long either.

Any suggestions on where to find a decent selection of Rosy or Hogg Island Boas online from a reputable breeder?

We looked around here in Va Beach without too much luck. The shops were decent, but did not have of a selection for snakes other than the more common columbian, burmese, retic, and balls.
