I Got a proven pair of Dumerils!

Over the weekend I got a proven breeding pair of Dumeril boas, and they are totally unrelated! and we suspect she's already gravid also. Man, these guys are beautiful too, they've kept a lot of their "baby colors". I was told that the female was alright, but the male was nippy, and could not be trusted. I've found that they are both sweethearts though [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif[/img] . hopefully I've got a clutch of baby Dumerils on the way [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif[/img] [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif[/img] [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif[/img] . no pics just yet SORRY! I'm probably totally jumping the gun here talking about babies already, but I would like to sell as many to RTB members as I can. With Dum's there is a HUGE inbreeding problem because the last time it was legal to import dums from madagascar was in the 70's. the bloodlines are stretched really thin now so these snakes are Notoriously inbreed causing missing or deformed eyes, dull colors, and a tendency for RI among other things. I consider myself very lucky to have come accross this entirely unrelated pair.

Because of the inbreeding problem, I don't want to sell pairs for future breeding out of the clutch. but I do want Desperately to help the problem. so this is what I want to do: anyone that is interested in getting a pair, I'll give you an awsome deal on a male or female if you buy the opposite sex from another breeder. I'll locate another breeder for anyone that is interested. that way you can have a snake out of my clutch, and a totally Different clutch, ensuring no inbreeding.

Like I said I might be totally jumping the gun, because I don't have any babies yet, but it's just somthing to think about. [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif[/img] -Juggalo

Also I know that there is not a whole lot if info out there about Dumeril boas (formerly known as acrantophis dumerili, now known as boa dumerili). so I'll also give a caresheet to anyone that gets a snake from me [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif[/img] . -Juggalo

hehe, we might be able to do some transatlantic shipping, but it *might* be pricey, and it *might* go againt some inport/export/herp shipping/ laws (I really don't know if it does violate any laws, does anyone know if it does????) or I might be able to give the little fella a map, and a little suitcase with frozen rat-snacks (for the trip) and he'll be there in a couple monthes! LOL, good going Jug. I got my new Col. Sirius I am fine with him. Since now i got a pair of Colombians i am not allowed to get another critter for awhile!
