How many reptiles do you own?

Some folks have one cherished boa, or perhaps a lizard (I saw a pic the other day of a chameleon residence that was breathtaking); some people have found that reptiles are like chips, you can't have just one; and still others have entire rooms devoted to their collections.

Here is a poll to see, on our board here, how many reptiles we keep as a group. Feel free to follow up the poll with a post saying what sorts of reptile(s) you have, and if you have more than one, how you decided to become a multiple reptile family.

I have a columbian rainbow boa, a surinamxperuvian redtail boa, a kenyan sand boa, and a bearded dragon. I have the last two because no one else wanted them!! the sand boa was considered too boring for the general public. I think she's fab. The bearded dragon has an amputated foot, and people like perfect animals. I think he's fab too!! Although if he dumps the thermometer in his water bowl one more time there's gonna be trouble!!

I currently keep about 35 full time animals. Now, I have an additional 50 or so female ball Pythons, but they will be sold as soon as they are eating rats consistently.

I'm mostly a snake person, but I do keep a few lizards that won my heart. At the moment I have 2.1 BCI, .1 ammie, .1 JCP, .1 pueblan milk, 1.1 blue beauties, and a rescue garter that will probably end up staying due to an injury. For lizards, I have 3.1 cresties (eventually looking to add more females) and a male green tree monitor. I'd love to eventually add an argentine black & white tegu, if I can find the space. I'm also considering adding to the snake collection eventually, as I'd like to get back into doing educational programs, and most of the snakes I have now aren't all that friendly. The BCI's are the only ones I trust to interact with the kids, and I'd like to have a few native Illinois snakes, and maybe a rosy boa, so I can customize my programs to include native herps or herps from different ecosystems. It will probably be a while before I have the space or the money to add on, but I can dream, can't I?
