Rats in Tampa?
I'm going to school in Tampa, FL at USF and the only reptile store i know of in the area and the place I get rats from closed today! (Josies Reptiles) Anyone know of another shop in the area that might sell rats? I can get mice from a regular petshop for the time being. Ordering online isnt really an option cause i dont have a freezer and only have one snake (for now...Caulker Cay). Thanks,

There used to be a place just north of Dale Mabry and waters. It would be on the left hand side if your heading north just past mcdonalds in the little shopping mall. It was called amazon reptiles. Also, if you head south on BBD and make a left onto Bush blvd theres a place a few lights down on the right side of the highway accross from a big lots or home depot that sells rats.

here's a couple of other places you can go too...There's a place in tampa called Zodiac Reptiles too..its on west busch blvd west of the florida mall/I-275

and then there's another place in Oldsmar, Fl called Herp Hobby Shop off of 580/Tampa Rd (pinellas co.)

Thanks for all the info! I think amazon reptiles may have become josie's which is where i went that closed (near dale mabry and waters i think). Zodiac's number is always busy and i think i may have tried to go there one day and didnt find anything. I called herp hobby shop so i know that one is still around....i'll have to check it out tonight. Thanks again!

didnt relize josie closed that sucks wasnt many shops in tampa at best

Yeah, havent found too many here. Went to Josie's today and there was a 50 percent off everything must go sign on the door and the place was cleaned out and locked up....i was just there last week and there wasnt any sign of them closing then.

Thats how it is in Tampa...they come and go with a blink of an eye. Herp Hobby shop has been around forever, but they are a decent drive.
