Just what I needed with all these babies I still have, with all the new housing developments around here, my sons friend was delivering a pizza when he noticed a bunch of kids messy with something in their driveway he decided to take a look, they had a baby gopher snake so this friend whom is kinda scared of my snakes, took it away from them and guess who has it now. Oh well what's another one. ha ha

at least you have it and not the tip of a shovel! my neighbor just killed a four foot gopher snake - the same neighbor that spends hours every weekend trapping and poisoning gophers trying to keep them out of his garden, not to mention the rats and mice in the barn... so sad. i told him to call me next time and ill give it a home in my hay barn - mouse banquet! any snake would be happy there, not to mention the hay bales will keep him warm! Well look at it this way, you've got a rescue. You saved its little life. Not for someone getting it from kids they would have stressed it out real bad and killed it. Or stomped on it or something. I have often seen people my age and younger messing with garter snakes, black snakes, and box turtles. THe other day a person said they seen a 3 foot"venomous"snake, and 2 hours later i found a beheaded 1 foot baby garter snake. Man if I would have found it earlier i would have tooken some where and released it or kept it. (probly woulda let it go)

I second JUGGALOFWB's comments. My little Mambo #5 is a marvel and growing like weed!!

She ate a couple of hoppers first time, a couple o fhoppers second time, and then she looked at me like "what the &*%^ is wrong with you!", so third time went for a whole mouse. And she ate it with flying colors!!! She is just streching out so fast is incredible.

I would get another one but at 3 Boas and 3 Pythons, I think I better stop for now...
