GMAIL by Google ..anyone need an email account?
GMAIL rocks. It's fast, full of features and free...but you can't just sign up for it. You have to be invited by a current member who has to use it long enough to have invites to give. They recently upgraded from 1 gig to 2 gig mailboxes...unheard of! Yahoo's free email accounts is currently 250mb. They offer a 2 gig box but you have to pay for it. At google, it's free. There is very little spam...almost none. I get 1200-1600 new emails per day that hits my spam folder in my yahoo/rocketmail account. I get about 6 per month in my Gmail account. Granted, I've had that same rocketmail account since 1992 so I've accumulated many years of spamfire. But there is still a huge difference in the quality of spam filtering between the 2 services. You can set it to where it only asks for your password every 2 weeks (My favorite feature) I don't work for them or get anything for advertising...I just noticed I have 50 remaining invites. Last time I looked, I had 6. I guess they are somewhat opening the flood gates for new members now by allowing more invites. SO if you want an account and haven't gotten an invite from anyone yet. Email me at rdkill@gmail.com and I will hook you up. I only have 50 to give though so please don't request it if you don't plan to use it.

I got Gmail the day after it was released... since then I've gotten 2 spams. Both of them went directly to my spam folder. The 2 gig space ROCKS, as well as the ability to send and recieve EXTEAMLY large attachments. Gotta love the Gmail!
I also have plenty of invites(250+), so if JS runs out just email me at pathfinder36@gmail.com
=)

Oh...another cool feature it has that you don't see much of in free webmail is that it refreshes it's self every few minutes so if you leave it running in a browser window, you don't have to keep refreshing it to see if you have new mail. It just magically appears at the next auto-refresh. You can also download the little program that runs in your systray and allerts you to new mail any time you are online even if it's not open. They all have that though...no big deal.

The autorefresh sound like it would rock in a tabbed browser like firefox...

I have had it for a while now, I have had many problems with it. It is very slow for dial-up users It is great but I do not use it much.
