herp handbook AZ?

I'm heading out to Phoenix for the spring break. I'm also spending a couple days at the grand canyon. I want to get some real good herping done: it'll be my first real herping trip. Hard to herp in NY Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew of a good herp handbook for AZ. Don't worry, I'm not going to pick any of them up or try to get close to them. I just wanna bring a camera and stay the heck away from angry vens.

go t azreptiles.com and click on snake ifentification and they ghave a list of beautiful snakes.and here in arizona u can find the snakes everywhere.i go out to the little wash next to my house and do herping there and i always find stuff in the early hours of the day and i know of some great places to go to herp here in arizona

The April issue of Reptiles magazine has an article on page 28 titled "Arizona Herping Safari". It only touches on just a few spots, predominantly south of Phoenix, but its someplace to start.
