Have you ever noticed that trend? This morning Morticia could not find her Glasses. We looked all the places that glasses should be and they simply were not there. When I looked behind the bed I saw something dark on the back of the headboard. Out of morbid curiosity, I grabbed it to see what it was. I thought at first that it might be a necktie wadded up because it was soft and felt like silk. I pulled out the baby boa that had been missing for about 4 days. We had searched Everywhere we could think of and not found her. She probably wanted to snuggle with us at night as it is nice and warm.
Oh, and we found the glasses too.

LOL. I usually loss things when my wife "puts them away some place safe". We had an escapee the other day. My little ball got, still don't know how, we find him that night but man those little boogers are slick. I was trying to find batteries for my flashlight, the wife found him in the closet, I hope he doesn't come out of the closet when I try to breed him to my female, lol. She said she heard something fall in the closet early in the day and thought nothing of it. Somehow he made his way up to the shelf in the closet, about 6 feet of the ground, the only way I can figure he got up there was wedging himself between the wall and the closet door, sliding typ doors. He was sitting on a box in the closet floor when she opened the door, lol.

That is a GOOD question cathy... Hence the confused and befuddled expression on my face when I put my hand on it.

What a relief!! LOL
I know that's what you were thinking when you found her! It would drive me mad to have one loose in the house. I don't know how I could sleep!
Glad you found her man!

LOL! It is no longer my policy to search for awol snakes. I look in the 2 most popular places that they go to when they escape and if they aren't there...they will turn up later. The most recent was a female cornsnake. She wasn't in either of the closets that escaped snakes here usually retreat to...so .. a couple of days later, I was down in the living room talking on the phone and I caught her out of the corner of my eye slinking down the steps. Guess she wanted to talk too. So far, all have turned up within a week or so. I've even had a couple turn up before I even knew they were out. LOL. I seem to have a problem keeping any type of ratsnake in a cage with a screen top.

Atleast you guys find yours within a REASONALBE amount of time.
Last year my sons corn snake got out of the cage. My hubby searched everywhere, but never found him. This was probably October or November of last year that he escaped.
This last Sunday I'm cleaning the front closet and moved everything out, and slowly put it back the way I wanted it. The last thing I moved was a bag of clothes that are going to the local shelter. Low and behold.. There was a little corn on the floor.
So of course the first thing I'm thinking is.. "Honey, one of the normals got out." We open up the cage the normal go into and .. hmm.. there all accounted for.. well where the #$%^$%^$%^$%^& did you come from.. Then we start thinking back.. OMG.. this snake is ALIVE, and looking pretty darn nice, and he's been missing for atleast 8 months now.
The only thing I can guess.. He's been eating all the loose crickets that roam our house and torcher my daughter and myself at night with there chirping.
