You have to rent a 14ft uhaul just to move your reptiles to a new location.......
Anyway, we just moved out of our house to transfer back to tx (navy) but we had to side-step to the inlaws for 10 days due to our orders getting goofed up, so everything went to storage and I had to convince my mother in law that my 7ft red-tail wasn't going to eat her. After I did that I rented a uhaul to transport everyone to richmond from Va Beach and I am happy to report that we did not lose anyone or any tanks in the 101 mile trip!!! Lets just hope they can handle the 1600 mile one coming in a week or so! Course I will have everyone in bags and Critter keepers for that one so they can ride in the car with me! People will think I'm crazy I'm sure but I guess I am!

Lol.. i move in just about 1 month and a few days its going to be about a 1,500 mile trip [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_eek.gif[/img]
from Maine to orlando florida.. its going to be sooo exiting.
By the way.. How dod u package the tanks?
i want to make sure when i open up the u-haul when we get home we dont have 6 shadderd cages worth of glass lol

Hey BoaGuy
I just lined the bottom of the uhaul with all of my comforters (didn't wanna spend the xtra$$$ on moving blankets) then secured the tanks to the side of the truck with rope and in between the tank and the wall I used pillows for xtra protection from the bumps and stuff, I transpoted them in their tanks for the short trip but everyone has carrying cages for the long one.....Don't wanna risk the heat in the back of the truck for to long although some og my guys could handle it! I will feel better if they ride with me that way if a tank should break I don't take a chance on injury to the animal or possible escape! Good luck on your move and let me know hoe things turn out!
