NO, mixing species is never a good idea. Snakes are solitary creatures, and get stressed even when housed with a cagemate of the same species. Another species will be seen as competition for food and territory. Ball pythons in particular stress easily and will stop eating when stressed. In addition, these two types of snakes are from very different parts of the world, and are therefor exposed to different diseases in the wild. One may carry a disease it is immune to, that may affect the other and make it sick. It's better to house each snake indiviually, to reduce stress, reduce the likelyhood of passing disease, and make it easier to monitor each animal's health.
