Creepy stories

Ok, I suppose this is more of a halloween theme, but thought I'd bring it up anyway. Anybody have any creepy stories of things that happened to you or people you know? I can think of two, at the moment. The first was recently- a few months back I had a dream that I was down by the river, and there were all these little sandbar-type islands that were connected by bridges, so you could walk from one to the other like one big, long path. Well, this past Saturday, I saw this place for real- not exactly, but close enough. I was in Romeoville, IL, a place I'd never been before, and drove past a fishing resort that had just this kind of setup, I guess so you could get out farther into the lake to fish. Very wierd feeling. The other story is one that happened to my parents when they were first married. They were living in an apartment, (a duplex, I think) and the lady downstairs always told them it was haunted. One night after they were in bed they heard this weird "slap, shuffle shuffle, slap, shuffle shuffle" noise, like someone taking a step then shuffling their feet. Being young and scared, they just hid under the covers and prayed for it to go away. The next morning, they got up and found their frog at the bottom of the stairs, dried up and dead in front of the radiator. That was the noise they heard- the frog hopping down the stairs!

When I was younger, my Aunt and Uncle used to take my brother and I on Sunday drives. They were always surprise days as they wouldn't tell us where we were going until we got there.
Anyways, this day, I was about 5, off we went. An hour that direction, 20 mins this, an hour up that road, etc. After about 3 hours of driving, we eventually arrived at a country town and I piped up, "oh, we are going to Aunty Wests". My Aunt and Uncle looked surprised and asked how I knew that. I told them I had been there before but couldn't tell them when, as I couldn't remember. So they asked me (not believing me) how to get there from where we were.
I gave them directions, "down this street, turn at the shop, up the road and it's the place with the white gate and roses".
I was right and they were both very confused, because, to this day everyone swears they had never taken me there and Aunty West had never had me at her home before.

Beats me. All I knew is that I recognized that town, the streets and the shops, and I knew how to get around it. I was only 5 and couldn't remember then, or now, how I recognized it.

Funny thing, I didn't know the name of the town then and buggered if I can remember it now.
