Yet another crazy day
The day started out pretty good today... I found out I can get all my money back for the roaches that died during their extended shipping period, of I fill out a form (no big deal). Then my friend from work came in and told me that she also won a gym membership- yay, I don't have to go by myself! So, we made plans to go after work. She left about 2:30 and was goingto run home and grab her stuff, and I left about ten minutes later, ran to Kmart to get a padlock, and headed for the gym. Got to the gym, and she wasn't there yet, so I hopped on the treadmill. Ten minutes later the gym staff pages me.... I have a phone call. I figure she's calling to tell me she's running late, so I go to the phone. No, it was another friend from work- Michele got hit turning left out of a parking lot! Thank goodness she was ok, but her truck was totaled. Because she was so close to work, I met her there to figure out what to do next. When I got there, she said she was still having chest pains, which made us all worry because she's got heart damage from chemotherapy. So, after talking for a bit, I took her to the ER. Thankfully everything was ok, but we were there all afternoon. So, I picked my son up, stopped to grab us all some dinner, and took her home. The cops said the other driver admitted to running a red light, so her insurance should cover everything. I'm picking her up for work in the morning, and from there we'll have to see about getting her a rental car. Man, what a day. Never expected it to end like this!
