(In no particular order) I find that all of these artists are nothing short of pure genius and the music they produced reflects it in every way possible.
Pink Floyd
Cure
PearlJam
Hendrix (not really a band but still a favorite)
Led Zeppelin
All time favorite guitarists again in no particular order:
Hendrix, Vanhalen, Page, Gilmour, Gossard/McCready (They are a package deal)
Favorite Bass: Flea, Jeff Ament
Favorite Drummers: John Bonham, Neal Peart
Favorite all time vocalist might surprise people given my obvious taste in music LOL:
Roy Orbison, Karen Carpenter, Olivia Newton John, Ray Charles, Billy Joel, Freddie Mercury

Not suprising at all. I maynot be a fan of that type of music myself, but Roy Orbison is awesome.

Fleetwood Mac was really hard to leave out...I was trying to keep the list short. The Doors was another I had a hard time not posting.
Karen Carpenter and Olivia Newton John...I hate that type of music BUT I repsect the talent. Both of these women were flawless. Most everything they recorded was done in one take. Mistakes are/were very rare and I have to give props to the range, tone and quality of what they produced. Roy Orbison=Legend. Roy had a 5 octave range that was also near flawless. Elvis once said that if he could trade voices with anyone, he would gladly trade with Roy.

Yep...musical genius no doubt. One of the better song writers of the 80s...I just wish he would write and stay off stage lol. He wrote a lot of stuff and gave it away. A big one that comes to mind is "Manic Monday" he gave to the bangles to get them off to a good start. It worked. He was definatly a huge contributor in many ways....but I still can't stand looking at him and what drives me totally nuts is how much his ex-love slave Carmen Electra's new husband, Dave Navarro looks JUST like Prince....But Dave is cooler.
