That is actually not that uncommon, particularly in very large snakes. I had a 12' yellow anaconda go off feed for 9 months with no noticable loss in body mass.

Wow I just thought they would get skinny. How heathy can that be?? will they live a long life feeding like that??

The longest lived rattlesnake in captivity that I am aware of was only fed twice a year.
