My first snake bite

Last night I decided to get my little bci out since it had been 2 days since he ate. He let me pick him up and seemed his usual calm self but as soon as I brought him out of the tank he went straight for my face and bit me on the side of my chin. It didn't hurt at all and I wasn't sure that he'd actualy got me till I checked in the mirror and saw the spots of blood.
I wondered why he had gone for me because he's usualy so tame I really wasn't expecting it. I looked closely at him and noticed his eyes looking slightly opaque even though its only 2 weeks since he shed. Plus one of his eyes had a little dent in it, so I think thats why he bit me.

Hey Lisa sound's like your little baby is growing up! It was probably just a startle thing and he freaked a bit!! Also he can still shed that quick depend's on how much growing he's doing, some snake'sshed quite often according to skin problem's, parasite's, or growth! Sound's like your little guy is on his way to being a big happy healthy snake!!! And next time Lisa NO FRENCH KISSING!!!

Yea, my BRB still nips at me from time to time, but mainly only during a shed. It's shedding again, the second time in a month. I'm hoping that it means he's growing quick b/c I haven't noticed any skin problems.
