humidity
Our ball's tank is a glass one and it sucks at holding the humidity , I saw where someone here sugested putting a wtaer tub over the heat pad , which I did and it hasn't helped. I wonder if there is anything else I can do besides buy a new tank because I would prefer to wait till he needs a bigger one to purchase a plastic enclose of some sort. Any ideas? Kimi

Have you tried covering the screen top with saran-wrap, plexiglass, or a damp towel? That may do the trick for you.
Cypress mulch substrate will also help

You don't want to use a substrate that is always wet. Provide a humid hide box so the snake has a choice between humidity and dry substrate. Take a tub that the snake will fit tightly into, cut a hole that the snake can fit through after eating and lay down some clean damp sphagnum moss in the bottom of it. Check to the moss daily to be sure it is always damp (not wet). This will help with shedding as well.

the other thing you can do is turn your glass cage on it's side. This helps to keep the humidity from escaping through the screen on the top. Plus if you have a tall tank you will have more floor space for your snake. I have several glass cages stacked this way and humidity is not a problem. But the other Ideas posted will help too! Ok Pathfinder now I am curious, what is your solution ? Even if it is way too expensive I still would like to hear what it is , after all money isnt as impoortant as my baby snake .
