YAY!!!!! School is back in session!!!!!!!!!
I am sooooooooooooo happy that my kid is back to school. Now I can get some work done during the day and not be worried about what he is up to. I am sure there are at least a couple more parents out there who are just as happy as I am. ANd for those kids who have had to go back to school :P All I can say is
NANA NANA NAAA NAAAAA

Yours started back already? That is pretty early. We still have two weeks to go here. I am actually one of those crazy mom's who mourns the beginning of the school year. In the summer we get to go to the beach and have picnics and go hiking (and herping) and play soccer... in the school year most of my time with them is me doing the "mom-thing". "I know it is still dark, but you HAVE to get out of bed or we'll be late..." "no you can't wear your pajamas to school"... "did you get your homework done?" "what do you mean I was supposed to bake 30 cupcakes for your class today?". Yeah, I like summer a whole lot better!

true you dont have the homework, and with mine they get tons. I just get tired of the fact you can' pull them away from their games or friends. I tried dragging them fishing and hiking, they just act all bored and annoyed then i wish i didnt take them. mine need the structure, lol

my plan is treating them on how they're behaviour is.. For example. if they are acting bad they go right in to the 5 gallon with no feeding of crickets, mealworms nor wax worms. They have the choice of moss or sand. If they are good they will get a nice wax worm here and there and be loved in nurtured in the 10 gallon with a daily hour of sunning.

Yeah, mine are little enough (9,7 and 5) that they still like to hang out with me. I'll soak it up as long as I can cuz I know those days are coming when I'll get "that look" when I suggest we do something fun together. This will be the first year that I have no kids every afternoon (my youngest will start kindgergarten)... and I'm not sure what I am going to do with myself... I haven't had 3 hours to myself in years! Now every day?? I hope my sweet husband doesn't expect me finally get a handle on the housework... I've been using the kids as my excuse for so long!

Oh yea, the homework . Mine either "doesn't have any" or "the teacher is just stupid and this doesn't make any sense", Or my personal favorite "We haven't done any of this in class and I don't know what I am supposed to do on this sheet".
We are (yes, We) in middle school now and there is tons of homework every day and I have found myself thinking what the heck does this mean many times, but you have to play it cool so that you don't show any weakness and say calmly "I have alot of work to do, you had better ask your mother". If you say that you can't do it they just use that as an excuse. Mine has told my wife and the teachers both that his dad can't do it so why should he have to learn it. I could just kill him!

Getting tired of hearing "I'm bored"

If we (my brother and I) ever said that we were bored... we had to clean the bath room, then dust, then mop.. so on adn so on, but it always started with the bath room.
Funny part is, those are all things mother never liked doing... hehe... anyway, if we said it, we HAD to do it... no saying, oh no I am not ..
hehe, live and learn.

My crackhead mother just said Go read a book or play videogames! She was so dumbed out that she did not know that she had not boguth me any books nor video games... This comes to me as why I only respond to hotdoggy dan or sweaty sue. her name is sue. She was running from a narcotics chase (really sweaty), tried to jump the 5 foot fence. She uh did not make it. Btw did I say she was 300 some pounds?
