Okay, how do you get this disease to go away? Every time I turn around, I want another snake. I feel like I should be in some meeting saying: "Hello. My name is Chris, and I'm addicted to reptiles."

It's hard... by try to avoid the purchasing on a whim thing it can sometimes end up getting the better of you

It's kinda like a new inmate yelling at everyone else in the asylum, "I'm not insane"...and you're asking for our advice? Bwwwwaahhhhaahhhhaahhhaa!!!

Unfortunately addiction of this sort is basically incurable. All you can do is hope that at some point the realization that all your boas are going to need decently roomy quarters when they fully mature and hopefully space IS an issue. That is the only thing that has slowed me down to 6 boas and 7 others assorted snakes. Doesn't mean I don't lust for more however!!! It's amazing how creative you can be in trying to convince yourself that "just one more" won't hurt. But just remember, the health and well being of the snakes you already have should be your first priority! Good luck!

We know all about that problem. We have just over 50 snakes (plus 13 eggs incubating ), a few lizards and 2 dart frogs.

The only meetings we attend are the ones for the Herp Society as well as educational talks. It's very much worth it.

too many snakes is not the problem, too little money, time, space, etc. are the problems. its not that im addicted to reptiles. no, really im not! lol
