Gator Easting Deer
This just got sent through email. It is the first time I have recieved this one. It seems viable although i do not know the location of the lake it refers to. Here is the text:
Quote:
Photos taken by an Alabama Forest Service guy on daily fire patrol over the
Lake Martin area in central Alabama. Looks to be about a 12 footer. Taken
from a helicopter.

For some reason this reminds me of a dog fetching. I'm sure it could be 100% real, but I have never heard of gators doing that. Most of the time when they catch there food they eat it right there by ripping the animal apart. WHen they are done from what I have seen they leave the carcus and usually younger gators get the left overs.
Keep in mind that I am no gator expert

That is what I thought, but you never know what can happen with wild animals, or any animals for that matter. The pics look real though, and the gator looks huge.

If it is real, the deer must have been dead, with rigor set in. Look at the position of the head, the water would be dragging it backward, toward the gators body if it were freshly killed. Cool pics none-the-less.

I'd guess the deer was p/k too, only because in every nature show I've seen, the gator/croc grabs the derr/gazelle/other poor watering hole victim by the head when it bends down to drink. Maybe I'm wrong, but I figure there'd be more damage.
