I dont have any experience with the discs but I know other mite treatments like that can have serious effects on your snake. The best treatment is prevention.... cleaning everything before it goes in the cage and being careful about the introduction of new animals in to your household.
Simply put if you do things right, you will have no need to keep on of those in the cage with the snake.

You need to take it out NOW. Or your going to end up with a ill snake. I know of someone who bought one at Petsmart and they told them it was fine and they ended up paying alot for a vet because of it. Just like the old saying goes use the right tool for the job. It took a while for the snake to get sick because it is accumalitive in the system. I don't know what type that is because there are a few that use different things but I would not chance it.
