Yes it is. I am against the process, but I mentioned to someone in a thread that there not bad if taken as a rescue. Its just something to think about if you own one.

Definetly, rescueing one would be a great thing if your capable of handling it after its venom glands possibly grow back. From what ive read its pretty possible and has happened. Anyone that has to purchase one from someone IMHO doesnt deserve to have it. They cant handle the snake. Thats like having a rotten child so you cut the limbs off and duck tape its mouth shut so you can handle it. Thats a pretty nasty realization but its true as far as im concerned.

LOL, good analogy Majexto. While some might say that comment is extreme or doesn't relate, I think you're right on with that one. Just because we are the dominant species doesn't give us the right to alter everything else to our liking. We sure do it a lot though don't we?

ugh
Shuba, it's only a "rescue" if it falls into capable hands. The claim that it's a void is not a 100% guarantee. Some hack likely did the work in his garage (who knows if he did it right?)....or was sold as a void when it really isn't. It's all a crap shoot. So, with that in mind, if a "rescue" void comes along, make your decision as if it were fully loaded and treat it as such. If you aren't ready for a fully loaded cobra, then you aren't ready for adopting a void either.

Well hope its only a thought cuz hots of ANY kind are illegal in IL. Even voided hots are Illegal, cuz the offspring are not voided.. havent had any voids come in as rescues here yet since I've been with the CHS. Wouldn't trust anything that came in as a void. an unscrupulous person that would void the snake to begin with would be possibly unscrupulous enough to sell a hot as a void.
