Mosquitos and herps outdoors
Since the weather is so nice out now I've tried taking my snakes out in the grass for a little exercise but seemed to notice a lot of mosquitos. Are the snakes in any danger from the mosquitos like if some land on it and possialby bite them??
Also when I go outside I like to spray skin so soft bug spray on myself. The smell is kinda strong....will the snake freak out when it smells it on me while Im handling it??
thanks

Just invest in about 100/200 chameleons and your mosquito problem will be solved

I dont think you have too much to worry about with the mosquitos... however, I would worry more about exposing my snake to the chems in the bug stuff.
If you put it on you, then pick your snake up it will get on them. The bigger question here is what, if any effect the "skin so soft" stuff will have on your critters.

Mine didn't seem to mind the other night, but have a wet/damp rag handy for wipe down if you believe the bug spray gets transfered onto the snake.

Possibly using a candle or incense made to keep bugs away but not close enough to the animals that they could inhale the smoke?

It's not natural to wear clothes either, do you use them?

Nothing we do is natural.. Unless your hopping around a fire with feathers in your head were all guilty of being un-natural.
