Yahoo and Trillian issues

Should only be a matter of a day or two for the patch to be made available for trillan users, so bear with it as they should overcome this yet again 
Side note, the changes yahoo has made is causing issues with its own servers and clients, including mail.

It's been a while since I used Trillian but I seem to recall them battling with AOL at one time. AOL would release an update that would change Instant Messenger and all the Trillian users would lose AOL functionality for a few days.

Yeah, AOL and Yahoo want people to use their programs to avoid spam, so they change things every so often...
What they really want is for everyone to use their programs so they can send you spam.
I actually upgraded to the new yahoo IMmer and it bites bad.. sure, it has some added features for the cute factor, but it's unstable, causes illegal ops and shutdowns for your PC and is deffinately a form of spyware as my firewall blocked it from sending out emails (never set it up to be a default mail and 'I' wasn't sending nor had sent any mails out with yahoo) so I removed it from my PC entirely.

strangely, I got my first problems with yahoo just before I downloaded the patch. Did yahoo only just change their software?
Also, zone alarm alerted me to a different server port number for trillian after the patch.

well i dont know as i dont use trillian i just use yahoo but im a mod on a website that lists updates
