This peticular cage is used as a holding bin for males that are to be fed off.
Now i am concerned about any possible parasites that could plague my collection if i feed the "survivors" as planned ..? Anybody ??
PS: It had killed 2 so far,but had not ate. lol

Unless the ratsnake took a dump in the cage, I don't think you have any parasite worry from him...but it would still be better if you freeze the rats after you kill them anyway. If that is cedar bedding in the rat cage I see, your snakes are in far more danger from injesting cedar oil than parasites anyway. It's not good for your rats either.

Yeah ...guilty as charged . I use pine in all the other cages (bins).
It was in the cage when i got it and several mice, and i rarely use it other than short term (prefer the tubs yanno).
However i really should have changed it out.
I will just freeze them then, thank you Julius

He'll probably die from eating cedar anyway if revenge will make you feel any better.
When I lived at my old apartment, my snakeroom was upstairs and I had a little cage full of feeder mice awaiting their untimely deaths downstairs in my laundry room....WAY away from my snakeroom. I walked in there one time and found a grey ratsnake that I didn't even know had escaped his cage upstairs, wrapped around the top of the cage trying to figure out a way in.
