perfect shed
peanut my tiny ball python shed and it was a perfect donut shed. i was so excited. it was his first shed. i had to tell someone cause i ran through the house showing my kids and they were like ewww. i never seen a shed that tiny. all can say is awww. im sure no one will share my excitement, lol. but arnt those tiny little snake sheds so darn cute? i have atree in my bedroom with all the snakes sheds and that one is so very tiny next to the rest

Sheds are a first sign to a new owner that they are doign something right. It's very awarding.

yay for first sheds!! I'm still waiting for our first shed with Ana (well technically her second)
Oh btw louise, I took pics of ana and got a pic of her mom, so as soon i get the pics back i'll post em.

lethargiic i will be waiting to see those pics  . thanks everyone. i was told BP had bad sheds and were horrible eaters. none of that so far  he has been a perfect snake so far.

My ball python's eyes just went grey this morning Louise. I picked him up as i do all my snakes do handle them regulary and noticed the cloud. Hopefully I will have a percect shed like always

Well like as said the complete shed etc is a sign you're keeping him right, royal pythons can be the most awkward buggers in the world they aren't really a handling snake and in many cases have problems because they are over handled but they can go funny if their environments wrong too much humidity = resp infection too little = poo sheds and they THRIVE on security so mine has lots of teeny weeny hides he squeezes into and feeds fine also, keep up what you're doing and he should stay like he's doing now.

oh believe me he has tiny little hides. he has vines and drift wood. one on his driftwoods is like a tree with a cave under it. but he likes to hide under his little soaking bowl! i dont hold him very often and when i do hold him it is for like 15 minutes. thanks everyone!
