Is it ok to feed a snake a guinie pig?

A friend has a snake. When she left the boyfriend he wouldnt give her the snake. Well he is going to give it to her and she will keep it here with us till she can take it back. But he told her that they fed her a baby guinie pig. Is that healthy? OH to top that off it eats LIVE!!! It will be switched to f/t here and rats. I am not sure of the kind of snake. She was told a python (wc) but they said it is growing so fast that they think its a burm. If so I will be gathering all the info I can here... Thanks for any input.
Dani

Guinea pigs are pretty hard on the digestive system, they have coarse hair and more significant bone mass than rats, but theres really no reason why a snake cannot consume them assuming they are the appropriate size. I wouldn't feed live guinea pigs, when they get frightened they can deliver a nasty bite.

I've feed my 2 boas f/t guinea pigs before when jumbo rats are hard to come by mainly because I got them for the same price as a jumbo rat. I never feed guinea pigs back to back to back on my feeding schedule though. Kind of like a treat or something every once in a while until they're ready for rabbit treats....
