Wild Boyz on Tonight Show

Did anyone see this last night? While I like them, and their idiotic approach to teaching lessons of wildlife without causing too much harm to the animals, I feel the action I saw last night were a little, well, over the top. At the end of their interview, one of them (the one with hair?) put on a blindfold, and had the third member of their group come out with a big BCC in a bag, which was released on the floor. It was obviously in a bad mood. The blindfolded idiot reached out for the snake in hopes of getting bitten, which he did across his whole fist. At no time did he react, or jerk, or do anything to the snake. No blood was shown, but I am sure there was considerable bleeding, as he was hit in the top of his hand & fingers. At no point did I see anything that could have been construed as cruelty to the snake. It was kinda funny actually, but I also saw everyone in the audience react in such a negative way.

So I am still trying to understand the moral of the story: Snakes are big aggressive creatures that should only be handled by professionals (or worse!), -OR- even the bite of a big aggressive boa, can not severly harm a person.

Just thought I would share what I saw. Anyone else wanna chime in on this?

I did not see the program.
Anytime a snake bites in a defensive manner there is a risk that the snake will injure its mouth/teeth. A small injury to the snake's mouth can potentially become a major health issue. While stressing a snake to bite may not be animal cruelty, I know that it isn't good for the snake. I have to wonder how many "takes" it took to properly capture the bite on film, 1, 3, 20? Hopefully the guy didn't squeeze the snake to make sure he was bitten. I would like to see the Wild Boyz "educate" (cough) people on the dangers of chainsaws, meat grinders, cordless drills, etc.

So close.. so close! I have seen these guys free swim with great whites, orcas, etc. I keep hoping.... Within 5 mins after they got out of the water, a seal was taken about 10 yds off their boat. Could've been one of them.

The snake bite took one take. It was in front on the live cameras. The snake missed one strike, and the second was perfect. (as far as a I think a snake would stand ) It came straight from the bag, looked well fed & hydrated (from what I could see it didn't look like it was bad shape at all.) No prompting that I saw. Who knows if anything took place off camera. I had the tv all but muted when it came on.
