rat has mites???
my daughter begged me to ask you guys what to do. she has a pet rat and it lives in a tank in the basement. it is 1 year old. it is filled with mites or some small bugs??? can she treat the thing the same way i did m snakes with that permanone? she is very upset and i know this is a snake forum but i dont know who to ask.

she called my nephew and he has stuff at the pet shop that he sprays right on his rats that he sells for pets. so she is high tailing it up there to get it.

y/w I bought a couple rats for beeding once from a local pet store and the female started showing ear mites a very contagious type (SARCOPTIC MITES). come to find out a friend bought a iguana from there it had worms needless to say I dont go there anymore here is a site that shows the mights

There is a spray I used to get for rodent mites at the local pet store, safe enough to use on pinkies also, but I can't recall the name of it or the manufacturer...

hey eddie that is probably what my nephew gave her. the rat got a bath and all its new bedding sprayed and that stuff sprayed on the rat. we cant find any bugs now. thanks all.
