You can but it isn't easy, plus plexi-glass tends to scratch easily and after a while you can no longer see through the plastic. Add the fact that is is very difficult toi work with, and it is better just to buy from teh professionals. Or get a used one if you can.

Most people who build custom cages usually dont make the entire cage plexi glass. Usually just the doors. The top is usually screen. There is alot of good cage plans online, try a google search.

Plexi glass can be difficult to work with, definetly when cutting it in my expierence. Maybe that was just me. I know there are some hazards when doing it, atleast i think from what I have read. One of them being you have the possiblity of getting the fibers stuck in your skin when cutting, im not sure if this is true but I dont see why not. Ive only built one cage before and trust me, it isnt easy. I would definetly suggest having someone around has worked with wood before and has some good expierence. Preferbly someone who has built enclosures before.

Also, not sure if theres any way to avoid this but I thought id throw in a few more cents. If you have large doors on the cage there definetly more likely to bow which isnt good because there definetly not escape proof then.
