Heart Failure !...

I'm just sitting here trying to catch up on some posting on rtb atm. [ have been out on pain meds for a few days ] Seeing that it's like 3:45 am here atm, I have no lights on and the only light being thrown in the room is from the pc monitor. So pretty dark here. All of a sudden I had a HUGE snake's head right in front of me [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_eek.gif[/img] [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_confused.gif[/img] [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_eek.gif[/img] which came from like above. Apparently DIAMOND, my biggest BCI overall, managed to "throw" her weight around and pushed the plexi /wood door out enough so as to have just enough space to "leave" her cage and go for a "stroll" . She bowed the plexi just enough to pop it out of the wooden frame of the door and make a hole to squeeze on through. She made her way to the top of the burm's cage in the livingroom and was stretched out across it and just hung her head down in front of me to say hello. [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_eek.gif[/img] [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_confused.gif[/img] [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_eek.gif[/img] Even though I am used to working with HUGE boids like her..She managed to scare the heck outta me np !! Totally different thing when you are not working/handling them or even expecting them to be suddenly in front of you at all !
My husband got the door back onto the cage and reinforced it also..with her inside the cage now too. Tomm. she gets a new door to her cage...glass this time instead of plexi for sure. Oh Lori...I can imagine the shock you had! Mexican Free-tailed bats aren't exactly equal to a large boid, but when you discover one flying around your living room....well...it gives you a good scare. LMAO [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif[/img]
