My baby gave me a super squeeze last night!

I was cleaning out it's viv and it wraped itself around my wrist, he didn't bite me but just kept contracting and contracting until my hand turned an awful purple color so gently unwrapped him off of me, I was just facinated, but for future notice maybe I shouldn't let him do that. LOL

I'm sure it was just making sure it wouldn't slip off and fall. Mine always seem to get their tail under my watchband. Course when your Boas are around 8' you tend to go through watchbands fairly quickly.

If they feel secure that they won't fall they won't squeeze tight, but the instant they feel insecure, they won't hesitate to secure themselves.

One time Scarlett (my 8ft redtail) did not want to go back in her cage. she wrapped around my arm from shoulder to wrist. She was there for no more than 30 sec before I got her off but my hand was numb for two days after.

It is crazy the amount of pressure they can apply in a really quick time.

I notice some of my larger boas tend to latch onto belts. I have several pictures of different boas latching onto my g/f's belt. They have never done that to me, and I honestly equted it to her small size and they hold on for security.
