CYCLURA CORNUTA
I have a baby and she's spastic? How much of it is normal behavior?

When most lizards are young they are usually pretty hyper Nothing to really worry about. Your best bet is to hold them for about 10 mins a day and hope they learn to know you and calm down.
My girlfriends Bearded Dragon was hyper like most when they are young. After the Beardie got older he calmed down with the help of age and my girlfriend holding her alot.

She whips her tail tries to bite (she hasn't) and runs if given the chance--I have many different lizards but this is my first ig.
I have an online firend who has a baby tthat is very tame---then I know some people like myself who struggle. I really wish she ould calm down, especially given her adult size when she grows up. I am hoping for a tame little dinosaur

Like the others have said, keep working with her and she will eventually settle down. Dont back away from her when she acts this way, just reach on in and grab her. If she gets the feeling you are scared of her she will keep on acting up.

Yep, I think these guys can get accustomed easily to humans as they age. I worked for a short while with a group of C. cornutas. The old guys are totally tame and friendly, while the juvies won't come near humans. great pet!

I think it has to do alot with upbringing. As with greens, I have seen some that are dog tame and some that will tear your arm off. Just remember to try to work with her now to make her more docile, as an adult, they can deliver a very nasty bite. Luckily, she is afemale, so you don't have to worry so much about the terrible two's like you do with males.
This is just what I know from limited experience with this species (less than a dozen specimens) and geneal knowledge passed on about iggies.
