Cage or no cage?
I let my iguana roam free around my house, he has no cage, but a his own corner where he is fed has water a basking light and a human heat pad with blanket over it. How many other people out there let there iggys do that, just curious.
My iggy Falcor and Magic my WD on shoulder:

i would invest in a cage. you can never be too careful, there are somethings that he might get into that arent too good for him..
and, im sure iggy poop isnt fun to clean up after, espically when its all over your house :P

I could see letting it have free run of a room but not the whole house. Like savannah babe said, there is too much it could get into that might harm it.

always better to have a cage, for the houses sake and for your iggy's safety

Yah I recomment a cage for when you are gone...also watch out for that dog. I can imagine the big iggy slapping that poor pup in the face with his tail

NICE ig...also nice ChWD...I have two aussie dragons...they are incredible animals!
Many people allow their ig to free roam given a few precautionary measures. One--be sure the ig is housebroken. Two--have an enclosure to keep the ig in for the times you are not home or for the times you have strangers in your home. YOu can never be too careful with people you don't know.
Also there is a health risk for small children for free roaming animals....so if you ever have small children in your home, you have to disinfect constantly and wash your hands all the time (my hands look like crap now from that reptile sanitizer).
Ig's need certain humidity levels too and it's hard to keep levels up in a house or apartment---at least if he can be in a humidity rich environment for a portion of the day he can keep his skin healthy this way.
For some great info subscribe to the Iguana Times.
Good Luck!
