Does anyone know why my friend's Iguana has a seriously swollen eye?
Nothing out of the ordinary has happened. Could he have rubbed it on the cage or something? Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you could tell me a little about the iggy's set up it would help. Sometimes they can catch their eye on something and other times things can happen out of the blue.
A picture of the eye helps a lot.
A trip to the vet may be in order. You don't want to wait long with eye problems.

Hi,
The cage if I remember correctly is wooden with metal wire walls. I told him not to wait too long with the eye, especially since his eating has slowed down. The were no apparent scratches or anything. Just a very large eye, including the outer area around the eye.
Thanks again for any help.
James

It can sometimes be hard to see a scratch onless it is a bad one. There are many things that could lead to an swollen eye. You dont want to wait around with something like this because it could possibly lead to the loss of the eye. Have your friend take the iggy to the vet and get it checked ASAP
