Hey, as it turns out my long tailed was sick(as i shouldve known it was froma pet store). So i got my $$ back adn got one of these from a Reptile store. Can you guys give me some info, ill get a pic cuz i want to know what kind he is. thanks. Sorry about the double post, I realized there was an Iguana forum after I posted.
P.S- I am asking mainly there food, cause everyone I call has different answers. So i am giving him both insects and veggies for now. Also any pics of yours would be great. Also if a moderator could delete the Spiny Tailed Iguana post in Other Lizards I would appreciate it.
thanks in advance.

If you are in fact talking about a spiny tailed iguana (AKA Black Iguana, Ctenosaura spp.) Then aparantly as juvies, they should be fed an insectivorous diet. As they grow, they should be slowly switched to an herbavorous diet.
Here is one good care sheet on spiny tailed iguanas... http://www.anapsid.org/cteno.html
I reccomend researching this species and see if you can find what the natural history of this reptile is, how they are successfully kept in captivity, and set up your lizard's environment accordingly.
Most of the time I reccomend doing this research before you buy your pet, but hey... the damage is already done. The best I can tell you is, In the Future, do all your research before you buy your pet.
