Baby Green Ig - Again!

Once more I am trying to revive a baby green iguana from that same pet shop ... some of you may remember that sad story. More of the same, just keeping him and trying to see what I can do for him. He is a bit stronger than the others were, they had just about no chance of making it.

jees...dont petshops have to abide by the same rules as pet owners?? u would think they would worry about animal cruelty charges..

Thanks for your response and I totally agree.

The little guy is still holding on in my care, right now I am preparing another warm soak for him. He is getting some sunlight but not eating and I am not forcing him as he needs to poop, he is really blocked up, his belly is so swollen and tight. I plan to take him to the vet tomorrow to see if he can be helped. maybe he has internal parasites. Soon as I can I will post some pictures.

Well, he is at home now in his little cage on my patio with his dappled sunlight, crushed squash(pumpkin) with a little dry dog food mixed in, and spring water moistening it. I have read that the baby igs need a larger percentage of protein than the adults. His belly is still distended and tight and I am trying to get him to the vet today or tomorrow. Got no money but I will do it anyway.

No pics because although my husband at last brought home the camera, and I took the pictures, the wire to connect the camera to the PC is missing! I have to now get one of those!!!GRRRR!!!!!

Well, in the absence of pics, we will be forced to visualize the cuteness! You are such a kind hearted person for taking in these rescues with so little money for vet bills.

And while you're posting pics, can we see a mugshot of you? I don't think we've ever seen one. I'm starting to wonder if you really exist. lol

Thanks, Sherri! And I guess I can risk the camera lens cracking and try to get a photo of me on here - but as to my actual existence, well, it's up for debate....maybe it could be the next Debate topic.
