Hibernation?

Since my iggy is a little easier to manage I started letting him free roam around the house a bit. after walking around a little, he manages to find himself a dark comfortable spot where he stays and goes to sleep. doesnt matter what time of the day it is.

this particular behavior is nothing new or out of the ordinary, but my question is should I leave him alone and let him come out on his own?

Are you in Jamaica? If he is going to sleep in a dark comfortable spot during the day, then that may be a bit different from mine, which are green iguanas, and are alert, moving around and basking (sunning) from sunup to just before sundown. They live in a cycle of natural daytime and nightfall, as there is no "winter" here. Don't know much at all about rhino igs.
