Picture request: show me good iguana cages
I want to find, buy, or build a great cage for Falcore... and if we are just a stop on the road for him, either use it again to help another animal or donate it along with him if he goes to rescue. I want something AWESOME. I measured him today and he is 35" long head to tail tip. I know that iggies can grow to 6 + feet, too. If we make a cage, I want it to be GREAT.
Can you all post pictures of you iguana setups, or links to pictures of other peoples?
THANKS!!!

I am ashamed of my Iguana setup right now as it is too small for them and I have been having financial difficulty - care to send me some money to build a GREAT one? HAHA - just joking!!!! (about sending me money, I mean.)
I am having a big one built with a separation in the middle - but the man who is supposed to be making the frame for it is giving me a hard time coming up with a figure in dollars - (an estimate, I mean) and I am also looking hard at cheaper: PVC frame & wire mesh, which I have seen on this site already that someone here has and it's really nice!
I do not have any pictures - yet. How about Nick - oh yes, Yoda lives in his bedroom.
I hope you decide to keep him, you sound as if you would make him a good Mom.

This thread from Iguana zone has the best cages I've seen so far. I have a smaller cage approximately 4ft long 4ft tall, 3ft wide for my small iguana. However the same design will likely be used just scaled up (pardon the pun) for my ig as he grows.

I let mine free roam but he mainly resides in my closet if you would like pics and are interested in a setup like i described id be glad to send you some.
For other housing PVC piping and wire mesh works great and EXTRMELY easy on the wallet. Atlease compared to other cages.

Heres the closet set up for my Iguana. It measures 8ft Tall x 4ft Wide x 2ft. Deep.
I leave the doors open for him to free roam 1 room with shelves to the windows in that room.
This will house for life as its basically a room with a section specially built for him!
Also you can buy storm doors if you have a much larger closet and just convert that closet with storm glass or screen doors and not allow free roaming. But the close size of this one is too small for that.

Yepp I must admit I was skeptical, but after seeing his improved set up and seeing the uncluttered room that Yoda has access to, I realize it would be near impossible for me to keep an ig in MY room LOL.
My living room, utility, and dining rooms are about the only rooms I could let an ig free roam without worrying about it eating loose change or knocking something over.. Right now mine is in the living room.
