Rescue needs help...
I have found a Adult Male (I think male but the owner hasnt stated what sex) in my area who badly needs help. I cant pay for vet bills and havent seen pictures yet but here's what i do know.
He's for sale for 75$
Comes with a 3L x 3W x 5H cage.
Supposably around 5yrs old.
Around 5ft again supposably.
Is only fed Lettuce ... Spinach ... Apples and oranges
Sigh i may take this one in and have him in the basement so Yoda doesnt sense his presence. I think he needs the help bad.

Nick, I understand completely how you are feeling, that you want to help this poor iguana. Now you and Yoda have a very special relationship with which you are both happy and in harmony. Bringing another iguana in will certainly impact on that ideal situation that already exists, and may only do harm to you and Yoda. You owe it to your own precious Yoda not to do anything to upset him. He will not be happy with another iguana, no matter how far away you try to keep it from him, he will probably know, and his personality may suddenly change for the worse. He may get jealous.
If you think you can keep this other poor iguana, and there is no one else to rescue him, and you decide to do it then please keep him far, far away from Yoda for reasons of health as well. Again, I totally understand your wanting to save this guy. Just step carefully here, please.

Iguana's are great but i have the commitment to mine, if i can find someone to help that i will. I also asked the guy why he is concidering replacing it and if i can help i anyways to make him want to make this ig's life better for the two of them.

Jeez Nick, the only issues I can really see for you taking in 2 is the aggression possibility if Yoda senses another male, or a female, in the house. I'm worried about the female spiny, and hoping the green is a female too..LOL
Just me, but I would NOT BUY it. If the guy wants to GIVE it to me knowing its going to a GOOD home, I might consider..MIGHT. Otherwise he's just doing it for the money, and he will go buy some other animal down the road, knowing he can unload it for money on someone else down the road. Besides 75bucks for an ig is OUTRAGEOUS. That may sound bitter, but its based on experience.
The sad thing is, there are TONS of Igs in the same situation, and if you CAN save one or help save one, more power to you, but you can't save them all. That's the depressing part, that at SOME point you have to say "I'm sorry, I just can't".
They certainly are overrated animals. Lots of people buy them thinking they will be so cool as older pets, but dont treat them right, and expect them to act like a dog.
I love mine, I will give it the best possible home, but I would NOT buy one for the simple fact that there are WAY too many in need of homes with people willing to give them away, and they are a LOT of money in the long run to cage, house, feed, and keep healthy.

I would never had bought it, i also doubt im going to take him in i just am going to not have the time once i get a car and my new lined up job in a month or so. Yoda already has my hands tied and my feet lol. But i figured id see if anyone in my area is interested. Im going to chat with him and tell him a few things that might make him keep him or atleast fix the diet and see if he will get some good lighting.

Good deal, sometimes that is all you can do..I know you would give it a great home, and I was just going on what I've learned (the hard way) when buying sick/unwanted animals.
