Bored Can Ig's be trained?

Can iguana's be trained to come to their name or a sound my iguana recgonizes the clicking cat sound people do with their mouths but he doesnt come to it. Has anyone heard of this? Or can Iguana's be trained to step up like a bird so they will just crawl onto you?

I dont think they can actually be trained, like a cat in away. cats cant be trained they only come to you when you make the sound you know if they want. I think an iguana can understand the sound and its name, but its really its choice if it wants to come to you or not.

Anything can be trained if you know what you're doing and have a good enough reinforcer. Having said THAT, I've yet to find a strong enough reinforcer to motivate my iguana to do ANYTHING

There used to be a website about training iguanas, but I can't find it and I think it might be offline now.

Yes they can, my cousin had a iggy, it was trained to only use the tolit in the house, so it would roam free in the house and when it had to go to the bathroom it woud get up onto the tolit and go to the bathroom in the tolit, couldn't fluch it tho but it would use it, and u had to always leave the lid up on the tolit. and she got the iggy when it was 3-4 feet long and she trained it to do that when she got it. pretty wierd I will ask her if she has any pics of it.
