He's gorgeous. I've never seen one with a color scheme like that. The wild ones here are more of a solid green.

HE IS AMAZING!!! I have never seen an iguana with colors like that. Well, plus most of the ones I see are also half dead and yours looks to be very healthy. WOW imagine when it grows, those colors/patterns will be incredibly amazing as an adult! Way to go, and GREAT find, you must be a very proud iggy owner!

That's the best looking Iguana I have ever seen in my life!!!! Oh my goodness is he cute!! I hope his colors don't fade too much as he grows up though.
I'm so glad you got to have one. There are so many stupid laws where you live that it makes pet ownership really hard to deal with.
Where did you get his name from? I like it

Thanks everybody for the nice words!!! Yes, I am so proud of my Iggy... he is something else, isn't he? Too bad you guys can't see what a funny character he also has. He has many "faces" and "looks", and he has a mind of his own... sometimes he enjoys petting, sometimes he shakes his head and push my hand away... but he never runs from me, even being here for a little more than a couple of weeks!
Jem, I got his name from "To Kill A Mockingbird", from one of the main characters of the book, Atticus Finch. There is a movie too... with Gregory Peck. Very cute, but of course not as deep as the book. I read this book when I was in High School, doing my exchange program, 14 years ago in Herndon, VA... jeeez, I'm getting old!!!

That's where my name comes from. Jem (Jeremy) was the son in the book and Scout was the daughter!
I hope you post a bunch of pics as he grows... he sure is unique!

Oh, yes indeed!!! I remember Scout but I didn't remember Jeremy's name. What was the name of that strange guy who was always hidden in his home, the one who gave Scout those little presents? I remembered I cried like a baby when they finally met!!!

Well, it is possible his parents come from Aruba. The guy who sold him said something about that. He was captive bred here in Brazil, but he said the guy who bred him had iguanas from Central America, not Brazil. The guy who sold me Atticus got him directly from the breeder.

Do you have some website where there are pictures of Igs from Aruba? I would love to see. I am doing a search on Google with no sucess.
Just as a side note, I am very curious to see how he will turn up. The guy who sold me him showed his baby pics, and he almost didn't have any stripes. But he had this amazing neon green color, with a little blue accents here and there.
