I was wanting to know if anyone knew what exactly an Iguana Light is..... Right now I'm useing a General Electric UVB Black Light along with 2 fluorescent clear white lights. The UVB Black light I have says on the Package that, "Tis light is filtered so that nearly all of the radiant energy is in the near-Ultraviolet or black light spectral range. These radiations, which are abundant in SUNLIGHT and SKYLIGHT." I am not too sure if this light is good for my iguana and would like to know if anyone might have some feed back?

Shedding-My Iguana, sheds his skin in patches, like first his foot then his head, then another foot..... is this how iguana's shed?

If I remember correctly an Iguana Light is a 5.0 UV tube. I don't know if a "Black Light" gives out the correct UV emissions, but I know that an Iguana Light does

I have never heard of a UVB black light bulb? Are you sure it's UVB? Blacklights emit a purple light. It could just be something I haven't heard of yet

Hi! I'm new to the snakes portion of this site because I just got my first one, but I've had 5 iguanas so far. The one I had the longest was called Godzilla, and he did just what yours is doing. He never ever shed the same way. We took him to our vet (an exotic specialist) and she said this was normal. So I wouldn't be to concerned if I were you. But if you do get concerned, find a good vet ho specializes in exotics. Have a nice day!!
