Pale Iguana
My ig has been worrying me a little bit. He's so lazy... he never wants to come down off his shelf except to defecate...but i guess that's normal..lol. And he's been looking a little bit pale. Mostly in his face near his subtympanic scale and on the majority of his dewlap. Anyone think this is abnormal?

It's normal. Most lizards change colors for various reasons. Mating time, moods, thermoregulation are just a few of the reasons. It's not generally something to be concerned about. There is nothing original about a lazy iguana either. lol

Yea, he is....He's about two years old. I know most ig's will dull out in color as they age. Is the change in color from that?

Tis the season to be jolly
He's sexually maturing and in breeding mode because of the time of year. Many Igs change and go brighter or duller. Let us know how his disposition changes---you might want to log it in a book to see how it coincides with time of year and age.

keep us (me especially) abreast of his progess and changes. I have always found the behavior of all species of iguana interesting.
